My DEARS. Holy mother of sin, I've missed all of you. BUT- Like all good things in life, my vacation and leave has come to an end, and I have left the state of Florida for my home (Though not by choice) of Illinois. Now, I warn you, this journal is going to be a behemoth of me recording my thoughts and feelings down, but feel free to read anyways. I feel the need to explain~
Well, we left on Friday as you well know, and witnessed a catholic wedding. So. Yeah. That was fun. As in, not at all. See, my entire family being atheistic and agnostic, it was uncomfortable and strange and robotic. And by robotic, I mean everyone knows exactly what to blurge out of their mouths at what time and when to stand and I'm just sitting there singing "Sympathy for the Devil" by the Stone in my head while everyone prays to the Virgin Mother. Anyhow, blasphemy aside, we stayed in a shitty hotel and are still attempting to forget about that portion of the trip (The hotel, not the wedding, that is.) I basically slept in a chair one of the nights. ("Who's chair is that? Not mine. Not my chair, not my problem, that's what I say. No Way. www.youtube.com/watch?v=skCV2L…
) Fort Lauderdale WAS a nice area, though, I will say.
THEN. THEN. SUNDAY hit and we travelled up North to Orlando and were submerged in a gorgeous house with a gorgeous pool and a gorgeous kitchen and my gorgeous family came to stay. Along with my parents and sisters, my aunt and her son came, and my grandparents. So there were nine of us. By the way, my aunt, April, is only ten years older than me and fucking insanely awesome and I don't see her too often on the account that she lives in Colorado as a hippie. And her son, Akash, is just the cutest thing in the FUCKING world. Seriously. And so nine of us stayed in one house, and let me tell you... It was CHAOS. But... Delicious chaos.
Monday arrived and we went to Epcot, the place that will stay in my dreams. We went on the rides, yada yada (HEY BABE, DISNEY!, as my dad continuously yelled to my mum in a ridiculous Boston accent), but the real treasure of the night was dinner. Oh my stars. We ate at the Rose and Crown, which for those of you unfortunate enough not to know, is in the World Showcase as the English pub. They serve authentic British pub food and beer, so everyone delighted in FISH AND CHIPS and my lord, I haven't eaten so much in MONTHS. I tried delicious beers and rum and cocktails, too. Just sips, mind. Then we stayed in the pool for a fuck long time and it was just... So, so... I don't even know the word, and I've a nice vocabulary. OH and we found a huge cockroach in the house at night and it was just salkjfdskljfadsljfkdajf;ds NOPE NO NO, and it was nasty. When we left Epcot, all of a sudden rain like a fucking hurricane hit and it was SO MUCH FUN, I can't even express to you all! We were all feeling pretty good and the rain was pouring and we were soaking but we were just walking along, and my grandpa saw the radar (FUCK THAT and RAN RAN I TELL YOU), and the people there looked at us like we were crazy (Hey, no big deal, WE FROM CHICAAAAAGO!)
Tuesday was Magic Kingdom, which is the worst of the 4 parks. Everyone was hungover and it was hot and not so nice, but still. Food was very good. Well, not lunch, but dinner was. I had Gnocchi and Arugula with a basaltic sauce. Homelife, was, again the best part, when everyone hung out by the pool and chilled and drank and laughed and just had a grand ol' time. (whatrree yooouu doin' hierrrr, Stewwwaarrrrt?)
Wednesday was Epcot Part II- World Showcase. And oh my fucking god, Epcot is magical, because unlike the Magic Kingdom, we all had a beautiful day again, ate at Mexico and I tried a sip of Margarita and tried Enchiladas for the first time... Spoke German to the German folk and had a delicious time in China and Japan and all the others, and my beautiful family was there... And then night was again, a night of drunken ramlbings and inside jokes and swimming (I GOT A CONCUSSION DON"T DIVE, as said by my mum), and we all went to bed waaaay too late, but we had a good time.
Thursday was MGM Studios, and we got rained out. BUT. Later in the day, so me and my grandpa got to go on Tower of Terror and the Rockin' Roller Coaster before that, which was fun, fun, fun in the sun. Oh. We ate at this sci fy diner, and whilst there, my cousin Akash (who is three) randomly started saying "Bitch, bitch, bitch" and someone was like, "Don't call your mom that." and he's like, "Mama isn't a bitch. NANA is." And it was just... OMFG RIDICULOUS. Later, at home, we all hung out in the garage all night, and my grandmother got drunk and it was fucking HILARIOUS. ("COME TO YOUR MOTHER" *april sits on her lap and goes 'mama' in a little kid voice and my grandma freaks the fuck out)
Friday was Animal Kingdom, which was really fun, reallly nice. We all loved the animals and such, and got some really cool stuff. We all swam again, as usual, and ate at Carabba's which was really nice.
Saturday was Downtown Disney, where we all got a bunch of stuff to bring home (Chocolate covered strawberries, anyone?) and was just great, great.
We left today, and though the flights were confusiing (We ended up going to Atlanta for a bit for 10 extra tickets), we are finally home and now I've school to do soon.
Well, sorry for that monster of a thing, I just needed to record some stuff down.
Oh, and watch this video.
So. Time for me to go.
